It is a Chinese Feng Shui term for the body of personified annual energy that mirrors the ideal trail of Jupiter both celestially and locally in projection. In Chinese folklore, sixty Tai Suis are named after a historically honorable general. Each Tai Sui governs the world of mortals annually in the 60-year sexagenary cycle.
Tai Sui has a strong impact in three aspects, mankind, earth, and heaven. Earth being the space we live in, one of the important topics of the annual feng shui arrangement is to deal with the Tai Sui and Sui Po corners; mankind referred to the zodiac people that offend Tai Sui, while Tai Sui has an overarching impact for every people; heaven being the time, just like there is a pocket of energy in annual period, there are also pockets of monthly, daily and hourly energy that has impact in people’s lives. When will 2025 Tai Sui start to take effect?
Tai Sui’s effect for 2025 will take place after Li Chun, February 3rd, 2025. The moment when the sun is at 315 degrees ecliptic, is defined as the beginning of spring. The impact of Tai Sui will last for a year till the beginning of next spring, February 4th, 2026. Please be aware that the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year is on January 29th, 2025. However, the Tai Sui will not change until after February 3rd.
What is the best feng shui cure for 2025 Tai Sui?
The popular practice is to display a Tai Sui Plaque in the southeast region; or to wear a bracelet, but you do not have to. Because this practice is often very general and does not produce an ideal result. I would like to share with you my approach below.
2025 Tai Sui is located in the southeast region, House of Snake (135° – 165°), which overlaps with flying star # 1 (star of relationship) in this region. Please note that the southeast region is from 112.5° – 157.5°. My suggestion is to display a black dog in the southeast corner within the 135° -157.5° region. This arrangement is beneficial to cleanse the negative energy in the southeast corner while still activate the auspicious Star # 1. Avoid any new construction in Tai Sui corner (keep this area calm).
Since the relationship star is overlapped with Tai Sui, its manifestation will be emphasized. For those who like to regulate their relationship at work and attract more helpful people, they can carry a Consecrated Supportive People Talisman for Career and Opportunities, or simply display it in the southeast corner of their office.

Time wise, there are hours, day and month of Tai Sui and Sui Po.
The month of Snake is the month of Tai Sui, which is between May 5, 2025, to June 4, 2025.
Day-wise, one can refer to Chinese almanac for details. Once you identify any day of Snake and Pig, the next sixth day is considered a Tai Sui or Sui Po day and should be avoided. For example, February 3, 2025, is the day of Rabbit, so February 4 would be the day of Dragon, February 5 the day of Snake, meaning February 5 is the Tai Sui day, and the next 6th day February 11 is the day of Pig, the Sui Po day, February 17 is the day of Snake again, Tai Sui day, and so forth. These days are considered not great options to start an important project in general.
9 am to 11 am is considered the time of Snake, thus Hours of Tai sui in 2025, and 9 pm to 11 pm is the time of Pig, the hours of Sui Po in 2025, which, in general, should be avoided to initiate an important event. See the Reference table below.
The other practice (I highly recommend) to minimize the negative impact and even gain positive support from Tai Sui is to keep helping individuals, actively providing support to people in need of help, donation, etc. This type of ongoing voluntary action often receives no reward or compensation, but it will build up one’s Yang energy and thus able to help one to regulate the overall fortune.
In traditional cultural practice, one can also pray to Tai Sui for protection and safety through performing a ritual in a temple with Tai Sui Shrine or carrying a Consecrated Tai Sui talisman during the year. What is the cure for 2025 Sui Po (Year Breaker)?
Unlike Tai Sui, mitigating Sui Po’s negative effect does not require ritual, but rather the awareness of the relevant space and time, which can be taken care of in Feng Shui wise. In 2025, Sui Po locates in the house of Zodiac Pig, the northwest region, within 315° – 345°. Please note that the northwest region is from 292.5° – 337.5°. One can display a golden Dragon with 5 Red envelopes within the northwest region of your house to minimize the negative effect of the Sui Po, this is also a practice to cleanse the potential negative element in the northwest region. Avoid any new construction in Sui Po areas (Keep this area calm).
Who needs to pray to Tai Sui /Bai Tai Sui?
In general, the group of people often suggested to pray to Tai Sui for protection and safety are zodiacs offending Tai Sui (Fan Tai Sui) of the year. However, anyone can perform this ritual to appease Tai Sui.
Bai Tai Sui is really an umbrella term that can be used for all Tai Sui-praying activities and all groups of people in the beginning of the year. “Hua Tai Sui” literally means to resolve the issues of Tai Sui; it is basically a quick and layman version of Bai Tai Sui without much personal information involved.
She Tai Sui, also known as “Nip Tai Sui” in Cantonese, is a special type of Bai Tai Sui designed for zodiacs offending Tai Sui (Fan Tai Sui). She Tai Sui means to learn the wisdom and to follow the way of Tai Sui as the annual Tai Sui general is deemed the way and the wisdom of the year personified, thus minimizing mistakes and wrongdoing.

According to the Chinese folklore, there are sixty Tai Suis, each named after a historical honorable general. Each Tai Sui governs the world of mortals annually in the 60-year sexagenary cycle. A Tai Sui general being selected as the lead of that particular year suggests that his way of life best benefits the mundane world of that year. In the year 2025, Tai Sui of Wood Snake is General Wu Sui, who was a general in Song Dynasty (960—1279). Wu Sui was appointed as the magistrate of Xiuning County (modern Xiuning County in Anhui Province) in 1240. Legendary, Wu Sui was highly skilled at uncovering hidden wrongdoings, and neighboring counties would frequently send envoys to seek his counsel and assistance with challenging cases. During a severe drought that year, Wu Sui spent three days and nights praying at the temple, fervently beseeching the deity for rain. His dedication paid off when heavy rains finally arrived.
In addition to this, Wu Sui took significant measures to alleviate the people’s suffering by reducing land taxes and labor levies, thereby providing relief to 48,000 disaster-stricken individuals. At that time, more than 400,000 refugees from the Huai River crossed into Xiuning area. Wu Sui devoted himself to comforting and assisting these displaced people, ensuring they received the care they needed.
In stark contrast to other cities, where the influx of refugees led to incidents of arson, looting, and widespread disorder, Xiuning County remained peaceful and orderly under Wu Sui’s administration. There were no disturbances, and Xiuning County was a safe haven amidst the chaos elsewhere.
The lessons we can learn from Tai Sui General Wu Sui in the year of the Wood Snake 2025: We should focus on the right things in our lives and be persistent in pursuing them. In a world of chaos, doubt, noise, and instability, we must remain dedicated—not only in our actions but also in our commitment to a better vision.
