2026 Flying Star Feng Shui – How to Feng Shui your house for Year of the Horse

2026 Feng Shui Flying Star Arrangement is a quick and efficient beginner’s guide to arranging a house or office for the Year of the Horse according to the annual flying stars’ positions in 2026. This article will also cover authentic cures for annual afflictions such as Tai Sui, Sui Po, and the Three Killings. Additionally, there is authentic information about the Feng Shui Bagua, providing a better understanding of corresponding Feng Shui enhancers and cures.

The year 2026 is the Year of the Fire-Horse. Although the traditional celebration of Chinese New Year starts on February 17th, 2026, the energy of 2026 begins on February 4th, 2026, with Li Chun (the start of spring), which is before the lunar new year. The annual flying stars will relocate once spring starts. To ensure a year of safety, health, abundance, and smooth sailing, one can stimulate the auspicious chi and suppress the ominous energy by re-arranging the Feng Shui enhancers and cures in light of the new energy pattern in the house or office.

Tai Sui & Sui Po positions in Year of the Horse

2026 Tai Sui and Sui Po positions

Tai Sui (Grand Duke Jupiter) influences the south region, specifically the house of the Zodiac Horse (165° – 195°), which primarily overlaps with Flying Star #5 (the Star of disaster), making the south region more vulnerable and sensitive to any kind of stimulation.

To mitigate negative energy in the south corner, I recommend hanging a 6-rod windchime and displaying a natural Wu Lou in the south sector (165°- 195°).  This arrangement is a combination to exhaust the energy of the Five Yellow and harmonize the potential negative energy of the south sector.

Sui Po, the Year Breaker, will affect the north region, the house of the Rat (345° – 15°), overlapping with the central portion of Three Killings this year.

To minimize the negative effect of the Sui Po and Three killings, one can display a golden or white ceramic Piggy Bank and a green plant in a yellow ceramic pot in the north region of the house to minimize the negative effect of the Sui Po and Three killings, while also activating the auspicious flying star #6. This combo is also contributing to cleansing the potential negative elements in the north region, such as appliance misplacement, and balancing the fire-water conflict of the annual Three-killings.

It is essential to avoid any new construction in both the Tai Sui and Sui Po areas to keep both regions calm, especially in 2026, where both regions are overlapping with annual sha Five Yellow and Three Killings.

For those experiencing low fortune in various aspects of life and seeking to ward off negative energy, wearing a customized, consecrated Tai Sui talisman can be a powerful solution. This talisman is meticulously consecrated and activated according to the practices of my Dao lineage, the Quan Zhen school, which has over a thousand years of history in creating powerful Daoist magic. It serves as an excellent protection tool to improve overall fortune in 2026. If you’re interested in learning how to choose the best Tai Sui amulet or talisman, I have a detailed article on the subject: A Beginner’s Guide to the Best Tai Sui Amulet/Talisman.

2026 Three Killings position

The notorious Three-Killings will affect most of the north sector (315 ° – 45°) in 2026.

The presence of the Three-Killings in the east region will bring instability to the corresponding residents and family members. Reconstruction should be avoided in the entire northern region. Display a green plant in a yellow ceramic pot in the north sector (315°-45°) can help minimize the negative energy. This arrangement is a unique combination that resolves the elemental conflict of the Three-Killings while activating the auspicious energy of Flying Star #6.

Below is the annual flying star chart for the Year of the Horse. It divides a house (or office) into nine grids, with south at the top, north at the bottom, east on the left, and west on the right, which is the reverse of a regular map. This chart indicates the basic meaning of each flying star and its location in 2026.

2026 Feng Shui Flying Star Annual Chart

Flying Star Chart for 2026, Year of the Horse

Please note that the enhancers or cures I recommend are chosen with thoughtful, in-depth consideration. I draw from multiple authentic Feng Shui schools and years of consulting experience to ensure the solutions I suggest are not only effective but also suitable for a wide range of living environments.

When selecting items, I consider much more than just the material, shape, or number. I assess how well they integrate into a typical home, their practicality, and—most importantly—their ability to enhance the permanent layout of a space, which is an advanced level of Feng Shui practice.

Because of this, many of the items I recommend serve a dual purpose: helping to declutter stagnant energy while also acting as effective remedies or enhancers for the year’s shifting influences. I always provide options for both those who prefer traditional Feng Shui cures and those who want something subtle—something that blends in beautifully without making it obvious that Feng Shui has been applied.

Annual Cures and Enhancers for each sector are as follows:

CENTER

Star #1 is in the central region. As the lucky star of relationships, star #1 brings propitious energy for romance, networking, and business.

Feng Shui Enhancer for the central region:

Generally, the star in the center is considered “imprisoned” and difficult to take effect. However, if there is a staircase or elevator in the central region, star #1 can still be activated and spread the positive impact to the rest of the corners. One can display a round golden plate with a natural Wu Lou in the central region to bring out the water qi of star #1. This combo will not only activate relationship luck but also support and strengthen the relationship in general.

NORTHWEST

Flying star #2, known as the star of illness, will trespass in the northwest region in the year of the Horse.

The northwest region corresponds to Qian Gua in the original Ba Gua. Qian Gua represents the father, male head of the household, males over 45 years old, and those born under the Chinese zodiac signs of Dog or Pig. Consequently, these groups of people, as well as those whose bedroom, entry, kitchen, or office are located in the northwest, will be affected by the ill energy of Star #2.

Feng Shui Cures for the Northwest Sector

You can hang a black bell in the northwest region to weaken the negative earth energy of Star #2. Since metal exhausts earth and water will drain metal, the black color will provide additional layer of protection for this area over the long term. To cleanse the energy of northwest, one can also display a golden dragon in the northwest sector to harmonize the potential negative energy of this sector.

Please beware of the area close to the north sector, since the house of zodiac Dog is under the influence of Three Killings this year. The range of 315° – 337.5° in the northwest sector should be kept calm and avoid reconstruction as well.

WEST

Flying Star #3 will enter the west region of the house. As one of the inauspicious stars, Star #3 is associated with arguments, damage, lawsuits, and other disharmonious outcomes. It carries disruptive wood energy, leading to disagreements, accidents, and injuries.

In the original Ba Gua, the west corresponds to Dui Gua, representing the youngest female, the third daughter, females under 15 years old, and those born under the zodiac sign of the Rooster. Consequently, these groups of people, as well as those whose main doors are located in the west, will be affected by the quarrelsome energy of Star #3.

Feng Shui Cures for the West Sector

The star #3 is the star of disharmony and belongs to the wood element, which also conflicts with the metal element in the west region. In addition to disagreements and disputes, this elemental conflict can cause body injuries, and respirational system issues, lawsuits, or accidents.

To minimize the quarrelsome energy of star #3, one can display a stuffed sheep to cleanse the potential negative energy of the west, and 5 red envelopes to drain the ominous wood energy of star#3.

NORTHEAST

The promising Star #4 is located in the northeast region. Known for its enlightening and creative energy, Star #4 is highly beneficial for any creative work and education. If you’re stuck at work and struggling to come up with creative ideas and solutions, this is the energy you need to activate. Star #4 is also a powerful relationship star that can enhance romance luck.

The northeast corresponds to Gen Gua, representing the third son, the youngest son, and those born under the zodiac signs of the Ox and Tiger. Consequently, these groups of people, as well as those whose main doors are in the northeast region, will be blessed by the inspiring energy of Star #4.

Feng Shui Cures for the Northeast Sector

Though star #4 is a lucky star, its wood element conflicts with earth element in the northeast region, and wood and earth items also bring negative impact to northeast region, and will be manifested as body injuries(especially young children), or pain in the joints. To best remediate the elemental conflict in this sector, one can display a black ceramic sheep statue and a round blue/black rug in this corner.

Please avoid reconstruction or activities that can cause heavy vibration in this corner since part of the northeast sector, the house of zodiac Ox (15° – 45°) is under the influence of Three Killings.

If a staircase or elevator is present in the central region, you can involve both start #1 and start #4 to create auspicious flying star combos 1 and 4. This combo will not only improve relationship luck but also bring about creative and inspiring energy, creating a favorable vibe that is hugely beneficial for creativity, innovation, learning, and education. Suppose you easily get stuck in the process of creative work and academic work, in the pursuit of a degree or certificate, or preparing for an exam. In that case, I suggest wearing a customized consecrated Wenchang Talisman (for Academic Excellence and Creative Brilliance), known as the acclaimed Wenchang Talisman in oriental culture. This powerful talisman is meticulously consecrated to awaken wisdom, sharpen focus, and ignite inspiration, helping you excel in studies, pass critical exams, and unleash your full creative potential with the divine support of Emperor Wenchang (God of creativity, education, and inspiration).

SOUTH

The Flying Star #5, known as the notorious Five Yellow, locates in the south region of the house, overlapping with the Tai Sui position in the Year of the Horse. Five Yellow belongs to earth element. It possesses the most unstable energy of entire flying star family and always brings about vicissitudes and accidents to life. The south region should be kept calm and avoiding any reconstruction and remodeling.

The south region corresponds to the fire element and Li Gua, representing middle-aged females, second daughters, females between 16 and 30 years old, and those born under the zodiac sign of the Horse. Therefore, people in these categories, or those whose main doors are in the south, are vulnerable to the negative impact of Five Yellow, especially the fire element of the south sector is activated by Tai Sui and will strengthen the earth element of Five Yellow.

Feng Shui Cure for the South Sector

One can hang 9-rod or 6-rod windchimes and display a natural gourd in the south region to exhaust the energy of Five Yellow. Avoid reconstructions in the south sector. Display the Home Protection Talisman or the Five Thunder Protection Talisman if any of your entry, kitchen, bedroom, or office is in either sector.

Five Yellow is an ominous star that warrants further attention and study. If you would like to have a better understanding for Five Yellow and its best cures under different conditions, please check out this article “A Complete Guide to Flying Star 5 Yellow (Dos, Don’ts and the best cure)

To prepare for accidental activities that can activate Tai Sui or Five Yellow, refer to the secret cure in my 2026 Tai Sui article.

NORTH

Star #6, known as the career star, will fly to the south sector this year. Representing authority, career, promotion, benefactor, actions, and positive changes, star #6 is one of most eminent stars in the nine-star family.

In the original Bagua, the north corresponds to Kan Gua, representing the second son, the zodiac Rat, and males between 15 and 30 years old. As a result, people born under the zodiac sign of the Rat, second sons, males between 15 and 30 years old, or those whose main door is located in the north region will benefit from the auspicious energy of Flying Star #6.

Feng Shui Cure and Enhancer for the North Sector

For those who strive to pave a road to success, the north region is the right spot to activate with proper tools.  However, the north region is also where Three Killings and Sui Po resides. Avoid remodeling projects such as breaking the ground, changing floor tiles, taking down the walls, heavy hammering, or activities that cause heavy vibration etc.

One can display a golden or white ceramic Piggy Bank and a green plant in a yellow ceramic pot in the north region of the house to minimize the negative effect of the Sui Po and Three-killing, while also active the auspicious flying star #6.

This combo is also contributing to cleanse the potential negative element in the north region, such as appliances misplacement and balance the fire-water conflict of annual Three-killings.  You can read more about the Three-killings in this article: Everything You Need to Know about Three-killings.

SOUTHWEST

Star #7 will affect the southwest region in 2026. Flying star #7 indicates theft, violence, injuries, and financial drainage, or even depreciation. It may sound untenable to have the property lost suddenly. Nevertheless, one may lose value in his stocking market or real estate market. Therefore, one should be cautious of any risky investment.  Star #7 will always find a certain way to drain one’s money and cause some injuries. In addition to financial turbulence, it may cause issues related to reproductive system and digestive system diseases.

Southwest in the original Ba Gua corresponds to Kun Gua, representing the mother, female members of the household, women over 45 years old, and the Chinese zodiac signs of the Sheep and Monkey. As a result, people who fall into these categories, or whose main doors are located in the southwest region,  are vulnerable to the negative impact of Star #7.

Feng Shui Cure for the Southwest Sector

To prevent from financial draining, one can display a blue rectangular rug in the southwest to exhaust the ill-metal energy of #7.  Avoid adding metal items, such as a bell, knives to this area.

EAST

The Prosperity Star #8 will visit the east region in 2026. Representing abundance and wealth, this auspicious star will bring one great financial luck.

In the original Bagua, the east belongs to Zhen Gua, representing the eldest son, males between the ages of 30 and 45, or those born under the Chinese zodiac sign of the Rabbit. As a result, people in these categories, or those whose main doors are located in the east region, will benefit from the auspicious energy of Flying Star #8.

Feng Shui Enhancer for the East Sector

The flying star #8 is in the right position and well supported by the earth element of the southwest sector. One should avoid using actual ceramic or stone item to activate star #8 in the east region because the yang earth (Wu) has an inherent conflict in the east corner and will cause financial drainage or loss if one uses such to activate star #8. I recommend using 7 red envelopes with the consecrated God of Wealth Super Abundance Talisman to bring out the wealth qi of star #8.

SOUTHEAST

Star #9 is the star of bliss, signifying delightful events such as promotions, the start of new enterprises, marriages, and the birth of a new baby. In the Year of the Snake, Star #9 is located in the southwest region.

Southeast in original Ba Gua belongs to Xun Gua, which implies the eldest daughter, widow, female between ages 30 to 45 years old, and the Chinese zodiac dragon and snake. Hence, the eldest daughter, females between ages 30 to 45 years old, or people who are Chinese Zodiac Dragon and Snake will benefit from the auspicious energy of star #9.

Feng Shui Enhancer for the Southeast Sector

As the star of joy and happiness, Star #9 manifests positive energy, bringing love, marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, promotion, career breakthroughs, and business success. To stimulate the auspicious energy of Star #9, one can display a set of three red vases in the southeast sector. Three belongs to wood number, thus further strengthen the fire element of star #9.

If the arrangement is for career purposes, one can include the Supportive People for Career and Opportunities talisman (the left one below) in this arrangement. The talisman can either be displayed with the glass vase or carried by the person.

If the arrangement is to enhance romance luck, one can include the Love Talisman (the right one below) in this arrangement. The talisman can either be displayed with the glass vase or carried by the person.

I recommend enhancers or cures with careful consideration, drawing on multiple schools of practice and years of consulting experience. This ensures that the items listed here will work effectively for most people. These items often serve dual purposes, functioning as both energy declutterers and annual remedies for elemental conflicts, as well as enhancers of auspicious stars. They are not your typical “feng shui items” found in a store; rather, they are everyday artworks or displays that seamlessly blend into a home’s decor. Despite their subtle appearance, these items are chosen solely from a feng shui perspective and are highly effective for practical purposes.

Although the annual flying star guide is still somewhat general, the approaches provided can benefit most feng shui practitioners. I take into account the material, shape, and number of the items, considering how well they fit into a typical family setting. Additionally, I focus on how their placement can enhance the permanent layout, which delves into more advanced feng shui practices. As a result, the items I recommend often serve multiple functions, acting both as tools for energy cleansing and as annual energy remedies or enhancers.
