2025 Feng Shui Flying Star Arrangement is a quick and efficient beginner’s guide to arranging a house or office for the Year of the Snake according to the annual flying stars’ positions in 2025. My instructions in this article will also cover authentic cures for annual afflictions such as Tai Sui, Sui Po, and the Three Killings. Additionally, there is information about the real Feng Shui Bagua, providing a better understanding of corresponding Feng Shui enhancers and cures.
The year 2025 is the Year of the Wood-Snake. Although the traditional celebration of Chinese New Year starts on January 29th, 2025, the energy of 2025 begins on February 3rd, 2025, with Li Chun (the start of spring), which is later than the lunar year. The annual flying stars will relocate once spring starts. To ensure a year of safety, health, abundance, and smooth sailing, one can stimulate the auspicious chi and suppress the ominous energy by re-arranging the Feng Shui enhancers and cures in light of the new energy pattern in the house or office.
2025 Tai Sui and Sui Po positions
Tai Sui (Grand Duke Jupiter) influences the southeast region, specifically the house of the Zodiac Snake (135° – 165°), which primarily overlaps with Flying Star #1 (the Star of Relationships). Trinkets such as a Tai Sui Plaque or a Piyao statue are unnecessary. This year, the southeast region is particularly complicated due to the presence of Tai Sui, Flying Star #1, and partially the Three Killings, all occupying this area. Note that the southeast region spans from 112.5° to 157.5°.
To mitigate negative energy in the southeast corner, I recommend displaying a black dog in the southeast corner within the 135° – 157.5° region. This arrangement helps cleanse the negative energy while still activating the auspicious Star #1.
Sui Po, the Year Breaker, will affect the northwest region (315° – 345°). To minimize the negative effect of the Sui Po, display a golden dragon and 5 red envelopes in the northwest region of your house, within 315° – 337.5°. It is essential to avoid any new construction in both the Tai Sui and Sui Po areas to keep both regions calm.
For those experiencing low fortune in various aspects of life and seeking to ward off negative energy, wearing a customized, consecrated Tai Sui talisman can be a powerful solution. This talisman is meticulously consecrated and activated according to the practices of my Dao lineage, the Quan Zhen school, which has over a thousand years of history in creating powerful Daoist magic. It serves as an excellent protection tool to improve overall fortune in 2025. If you’re interested in learning how to choose the best Tai Sui amulet or talisman, I have a detailed article on the subject: A Beginner’s Guide to the Best Tai Sui Amulet/Talisman.
2025 Three-Killings position
The notorious Three-Killings will affect most of the north sector (45 ° – 135°) in 2025.
The presence of the Three-Killings in the east region will bring instability to the corresponding residents and family members. Reconstruction should be avoided in the entire east region. Placing a water plant in the east sector (75°-105°) can help minimize the negative energy. This arrangement is a unique combination that resolves the elemental conflict of the Three-Killings while activating the auspicious energy of Flying Star #9.
If you want to learn more about Flying Star #9, a detailed article is available here.
Below is the annual flying star chart for the Year of the Snake. It divides a house (or office) into nine grids, with south at the top, north at the bottom, east on the left, and west on the right, which is the reverse of a regular map. This chart indicates the basic meaning of each flying star and its location in 2025.
2025 Feng Shui Flying Star Annual Chart
Please note, I recommend enhancers or cures with in-depth consideration. I often incorporate multiple schools of practice and years of consulting experience to ensure they work best and apply to most people. I take into account not only the item’s material, shape, and number, and how well it fits into a typical family setting, but also its effectiveness in improving the permanent layout, which is an advanced practice. As a result, the items I recommend often serve dual purposes: decluttering energy and acting as an annual energy remedy/enhancer. I provide options not only for those who prefer traditional Feng Shui cures but also for those who want something subtle that doesn’t make it obvious the place has been Feng Shui-ed.
Annual Cures and Enhancers for each sector are as follows:
CENTER
Flying star #2, known as the star of illness, will trespass in the southeast region in the year of Snake.
Feng Shui Cure for the Central region
Generally, the star in the center is less likely to take effect. However, if a staircase or elevator is present in the central region, Star #2 can be easily activated, spreading its negative impact to the surrounding areas. To mitigate this, you can hang a golden bell in the central region to weaken the negative earth energy of Star #2.
Tip: To further neutralize the earth qi from Star #2, consider painting the bell black. Since metal exhausts earth and water controls metal, this will provide additional protection for the area over the long term.
NORTHWEST
Flying Star #3 will enter the northwest region of the house. As one of the inauspicious stars, Star #3 is associated with arguments, damage, lawsuits, and other disharmonious outcomes. It carries disruptive wood energy, leading to disagreements, accidents, and injuries.
The northwest region corresponds to Qian Gua in the original Ba Gua. Qian Gua represents the father, male head of the household, males over 45 years old, and those born under the Chinese zodiac signs of Dog or Pig. Consequently, these groups of people, as well as those whose main doors are located in the northwest, will be affected by the quarrelsome energy of Star #3.
Feng Shui Cures for the Northwest Sector
Although star #3 is the star of disharmony and belongs to the wood element, which also conflicts with the metal element in the northwest region. In addition to disagreements and disputes, this elemental conflict can cause body injuries, liver issues, car accidents, and headaches.
To minimize the quarrelsome energy of star #3 while still keeping the balance of Sui Po corner (remember NW is also the Sui Po corner in 2025), display a golden dragon and 5 red envelopes in the northwest region of your house, within 315° – 337.5°. This combo can cleanse most of the negative energy in the northwest corner and minimize the quarrelsome energy of star #3.
The Sui Po corner spans 315° – 345°, with the last 7.5° overlapping into the north region. While the placements of the dragon and envelopes should be within the northwest sector, it’s important to avoid construction and heavy activities in the entire Sui Po region, which includes both the northwest and a small portion of the north sector.
WEST
The propitious Star #4 is located in the west region. Known for its enlightening and creative energy, Star #4 is highly beneficial for any creative work and education. If you’re stuck at work and struggling to come up with creative ideas and solutions, this is the energy you need to activate. Star #4 is also a powerful relationship star that can enhance romance luck.
In the original Ba Gua, the west corresponds to Dui Gua, representing the youngest female, the third daughter, females under 15 years old, and those born under the zodiac sign of the Rooster. Consequently, these groups of people, as well as those whose main doors are located in the west, will be blessed by the inspiring energy of Star #4.
Feng Shui Cures and Enhancers for the West Sector
Although flyings star #4 is a lucky star, its wood element conflicts with metal element in the west region, and wood and earth items also bring negative impact to northwest region. To best remediate the conflict, one can display a black ceramic sheep statue and a round blue/black rug in this corner.
To maximize the propitious energy of star #4, I suggest involving both start #1 in the southeast region to create auspicious flying star combos 1 and 4. Southeast region is Dui Gua’s early heaven Ba Gua position. Therefore, the energy of woutheast and west can resonnate and channel to each other.
To create this type of combo arrangements, one can also display a black dog in the southeast. This combo will not only bring great relationship luck, but also bring about creative and inspiring energy, which creates a favorable vibe that is hugely beneficial for creativity, innovation, learning and education.
NORTHEAST
Star #5, known as the notorious Five Yellow, locates in the west region of the house. Five Yellow belongs to earth element. It possesses the most unstable energy of entire flying star family and always brings about vicissitudes and accidents to life. The northeast region should be kept calm and avoiding any reconstruction and remodeling.
The northeast corresponds to Gen Gua, representing the third son, the youngest son, and those born under the zodiac signs of the Ox and Tiger. Consequently, these groups of people, as well as those whose main doors are in the northeast region, are vulnerable to the negative impact of the Five Yellow.
Feng Shui Cures for the Northeast Sector
One can hang 9-rod or 6-rod windchimes and display a natural gourd in the northeast region to exhaust the energy of Five Yellow. Please avoid reconstructions in the northeast region.
Five Yellow is an ominous star that is worthy of more attention and study. If you would like to have a better understanding for Five Yellow and its best cures under different conditions, please check out this article “A Complete Guide to Flying Star 5 Yellow (Dos, Don’ts and the best cure)”
SOUTH
Star #6, known as the career star, will fly to the south sector this year. Representing authority, career, promotion, benefactor, actions, and positive changes, star #6 is one of most eminent stars in the nine-star family.
The south region corresponds to the fire element and Li Gua, representing middle-aged females, second daughters, females between 16 and 30 years old, and those born under the zodiac sign of the Horse. Therefore, people in these categories, or those whose main doors are in the south, are vulnerable to the negative impact of Star #7.
Feng Shui Cure for the South Sector
For those who strive to pave a road to success, the south region is the right spot to activate with proper tools. However, due to an elemental conflict between metal and the fire from the original south region, south region needs to be balanced before activating. I suggest to display a yellow ceramic bowl with lavandar buds in it. The yellow bowl with lavandar buds together can enhance the financial energy, alongside with a pair of Brass Chi Lin, this combo is a perfect arrangment to activate the propitious energy of #6 while balancing the elemental conflict.
NORTH
Star #7 will affect the north region in 2025. Flying star #7 indicates theft, violence, injuries, and financial drainage, or even depreciation. It may sound untenable to have the property lost suddenly. Nevertheless, one may lose value in his stocking market or real estate market. Therefore, one should be cautious of any risky investment. Star #7 will always find a certain way to drain one’s money and cause some injuries. In addition to financial turbulence, it may cause issues related to urinary and reproductive system, and respirational diseases.
In the original Bagua, the north corresponds to Kan Gua, representing the second son, the zodiac Rat, and males between 15 and 30 years old. As a result, people born under the zodiac sign of the Rat, second sons, males between 15 and 30 years old, or those whose main door is located in the north region will be affected by the ill-metal energy of Flying Star #7.
Feng Shui Remedy for the North Sector
To prevent from financial draining, one can display a blue rectangular rug in the north to exhaust the ill-metal energy of #7.
SOUTHWEST
The Prosperity Star #8 will visit the southwest region in 2025. Representing abundance and wealth, this auspicious star will bring one great financial luck.
Southwest in the original Ba Gua corresponds to Kun Gua, representing the mother, female members of the household, women over 45 years old, and the Chinese zodiac signs of the Sheep and Monkey. As a result, people who fall into these categories, or whose main doors are located in the southwest region, will benefit from the auspicious energy of Flying Star #8.
Feng Shui Enhancer for the Southwest Sector
In 2025, flying star #8 is in the right position and well supported by the earth element of the southwest sector. One can display a rec ceramic bowl with the consecrated God of Wealth Super Abundance Talisman inside the bowl, and seven 5-dollar bills above the talisman.
EAST
Star #9 is the star of bliss, signifying delightful events such as promotions, the start of new enterprises, marriages, and the birth of a new baby. In the Year of the Snake, Star #9 is located in the southwest region.
In the original Bagua, the east belongs to Zhen Gua, representing the eldest son, males between the ages of 30 and 45, or those born under the Chinese zodiac sign of the Rabbit. As a result, people in these categories, or those whose main doors are located in the east region, will be positively influenced by Star #1.
Feng Shui Enhancer for the East Sector
As the star of joy and happiness, Star #9 manifests positive energy, bringing love, marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, promotion, career breakthroughs, and business success. To stimulate the auspicious energy of Star #9, one can display a glass of water plant. Avoid using ceramic pot, a transparent glass bottle with clear water and a few lucky bamboos will do the job. I would also suggest including Five Thunder Talisman since Three Killings is in this region as well.
- If the arrangement is for career purposes, one can include the Supportive People for Career and Opportunities talisman (the left one below) in this arrangement. The talisman can either be displayed with the glass vase or carried by the person.
- If the arrangement is to enhance romance luck, one can include the Love Talisman (the right one below) in this arrangement. The talisman can either be displayed with the glass vase or carried by the person.
SOUTHEAST
Star #1 locates in the east region. As the lucky star of relationship, star #1 brings propitious energy for romance, networking, and business.
Southeast in original Ba Gua belongs to Xun Gua, which implies the eldest daughter, widow, female between ages 30 to 45 years old, and the Chinese zodiac dragon and snake. Hence, the eldest daughter, females between ages 30 to 45 years old, or people who are Chinese Zodiac Dragon and Snake will benefit from the auspicious energy of star #1.
Feng Shui Enhancer for the Southeast Sector
To maximize the auspicious energy of Star #1, we can combine it with the energy of Star #4 in the west region to create an auspicious Flying Star combination of 1 and 4. The southeast region corresponds to Dui Gua’s early heaven Ba Gua position, allowing the energies of the southeast and west to resonate and channel to each other.
To create this combination, simply display a black dog in the southeast (refer to the previous WEST section in this article). This arrangement will not only enhance relationship luck but also bring about creative and inspiring energy, fostering a favorable environment that greatly benefits creativity, innovation, learning, and education.
Please note that the southeast sector is also the main area influenced by Tai Sui, so it should be kept free from reconstruction and heavy activities. For more details on my special remedies for heavy activities in the Tai Sui area and other relevant information, please refer to the 2025 Tai Sui articles below.
I recommend enhancers or cures with careful consideration, drawing on multiple schools of practice and years of consulting experience. This ensures that the items listed here will work effectively for most people. These items often serve dual purposes, functioning as both energy declutterers and annual remedies for elemental conflicts, as well as enhancers of auspicious stars. They are not your typical “feng shui items” found in a store; rather, they are everyday artworks or displays that seamlessly blend into a home’s decor. Despite their subtle appearance, these items are chosen solely from a feng shui perspective and are highly effective for practical purposes.
Although the annual flying star guide is still somewhat general, the approaches provided can benefit most feng shui practitioners. I take into account the material, shape, and number of the items, considering how well they fit into a typical family setting. Additionally, I focus on how their placement can enhance the permanent layout, which delves into more advanced feng shui practices. As a result, the items I recommend often serve multiple functions, acting both as tools for energy cleansing and as annual energy remedies or enhancers.
